How can the University encourage students, faculty, and staff to choose reusable mugs and reusable to-go containers? What are the barriers to this behavior and how can the University help community members overcome these barriers?

Research

Learning about relevant social science research can teach us how to implement reusable mug programs in an effective way.

Current UM Projects

Cafe`s on campus currently offer a $.25 discount on drinks when a person uses their own mug.

We can look to other Universities to see what worked and what didn't when trying to implement a reusable mug program and encourage a greener campus.

Other Universities

It's time to make a change! Let's become a more sustainable campus by participating in small ways that can make a huge difference.
